In 2025, MVC is launching a new initiative - the player academy.

Some young athletes have everything it takes to become world-beaters - ambition, physical ability, mental resolve and maturity. All they need is the support and guidance to enable them to traverse the path to greatness. 

​

This is what the MVC player academy will aim to provide.

​

Beginning in 2025, we will pilot the academy with 2-4 local volleyball athletes.

 

These athletes will train through the 2025 calendar year, participating in local school, representative and club competitions. In addition, they will participate in the regional and national beach volleyball tours through the 2025/26 summer.

​

The MVC academy will provide these athletes with:

• supplementary technical coaching,

• pathway planning - which trials, camps, tournaments to attend,

• guidance on other aspects of performance - S&C, nutrition, etc;

• ​advisory and advocacy service;

​​​

.. and a bunch of other goodies and opportunities.​

​
